Repiping in Ontario, CA
When pinhole leaks keep coming back or your water runs rusty, patching one more spot only buys time. A repipe replaces the supply lines so the leaks stop. We repipe homes throughout Ontario. Ontario is a short drive west on the I-10 from our Rialto shop.
Licensed, local and open 24 hours: that is Drain Edge Rooter. We are a Rialto plumbing company with California license C-36 #1078977, and the number to call is (909) 927-3194.
Repiping: what we take care of
- Whole-house supply repipes in PEX or copper
- Partial repipes of failing sections
- Replacing galvanized lines that restrict pressure
- Checking for the pipe types we expect in Ontario’s mix of housing (older core homes near downtown, mid-century and 1970s-80s tracts, and brand-new Ontario Ranch homes)
Signs it needs a professional
- Galvanized pipe visible at the water heater or hose bibs
- Green corrosion on copper fittings
- Banging or noisy pipes
- Any of the above in a Ontario home that has not had its plumbing checked in years
Not sure if it can wait? Call (909) 927-3194 and we will tell you honestly.
Why Ontario homes need repiping
Ontario is really two cities in one when it comes to plumbing. North of the 60, around Euclid Avenue’s wide median and the older blocks near Holt Boulevard, many homes went up before or shortly after World War II. South of Riverside Drive, Ontario Ranch is still being built out, and those homes have modern plastic and PEX piping.
Older Ontario homes may still have galvanized steel pipe, which rusts from the inside and restricts pressure. Ontario’s water is a blend of local groundwater and imported supply, and like most of the Inland Empire it runs hard, so scale build-up on valves, heaters and fixtures is something we see often.
Serving all of Ontario
Between those two, there are a lot of 1970s and 1980s tracts near Mountain Avenue, Vineyard Avenue and the Creekside area, where the original copper and drain lines are now decades old. When we pull up to an Ontario address, the age of the street usually tells us what we are likely to find before we open a single cleanout.
- Downtown Ontario along Euclid Avenue
- College Park and the neighborhoods north of the 10
- streets off Holt Boulevard and Mission Boulevard
- Creekside and the tracts near Mountain Avenue
- Ontario Ranch, including the New Haven and Edenglen areas
- homes near Ontario International Airport and Ontario Mills
Working in Ontario
Getting to Ontario is easy for us. From Rialto we take the 10 west, and from there Euclid Avenue, Grove Avenue, Vineyard Avenue and Archibald Avenue get us to most of the city quickly. Ontario Ranch, down past Riverside Drive, is a longer drive south, but it is still regular territory for us.
A lot of Ontario’s older homes near downtown have been remodeled more than once, so the plumbing in the walls may not match the plumbing at the fixtures. In the newer Ontario Ranch tracts, many homes are part of HOAs, and we work around community rules on parking, access and work hours.
Ontario also has a lot of rentals, duplexes and small commercial buildings along Holt Boulevard and Mission Boulevard. Property managers and landlords call us for tenant calls, and we keep them in the loop with what we found and what it cost.
Before, during and after the repair
Before: we talk through the problem by phone and tell you honestly how soon we can be there. During: we explain what we find and get your OK on the price before starting. After: we test the repair with you and let you know if anything else is worth keeping an eye on.

Repiping FAQ for Ontario
Can you repipe just part of the house?
Yes. If only one section is failing, a partial repipe can make sense.
Is a reroute different from a repipe?
A reroute replaces one failing line, often one under the slab, with a new path above it. A repipe replaces the whole system.
PEX or copper?
Both work well. PEX is flexible and fast to install. Copper is durable and familiar. We go over the pros and cons for your home.
Do you pull permits?
Yes, where the city or county requires them.
Do you serve all of Ontario?
Yes. Ontario is a short drive west on the I-10 from our Rialto shop, and we cover Downtown Ontario along Euclid Avenue, Creekside and the tracts near Mountain Avenue, homes near Ontario International Airport and Ontario Mills and the rest of the city, 24 hours a day.
