Hydro Jetting in Highland, CA

Grease, scale and root fibers build up inside drain lines over the years. We use hydro jetting in Highland to restore the full width of the pipe so water moves freely again. Highland is northeast of our Rialto shop on the 210, usually a quick trip.

Licensed, local and open 24 hours: that is Drain Edge Rooter. We are a Rialto plumbing company with California license C-36 #1078977, and the number to call is (909) 927-3194.

Hydro Jetting: what we take care of

  • Removing scale and sludge from older cast-iron lines
  • Cleaning main lines before a lining or repair estimate
  • A follow-up camera pass to show the clean pipe
  • Checking for the pipe types we expect in Highland’s mix of housing (early and mid-1900s homes in the older core, later tracts, and newer East Highlands Ranch homes)

Signs it needs a professional

  • Water backing up at the cleanout
  • The same drain clogs again a few weeks after being cleared
  • Gurgling or slow drains throughout the house
  • Any of the above in a Highland home that has not had its plumbing checked in years

Not sure if it can wait? Call (909) 927-3194 and we will tell you honestly.

Why Highland homes need hydro jetting

Highland grew up from citrus country at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains. The older part of town around Palm Avenue and Base Line still has homes from the early and middle 1900s, while the streets off Boulder and Victoria Avenues are mostly later tract housing.

We camera the line before jetting in Highland, because very old or broken pipe should be repaired instead of jetted. Much of Highland is served by the East Valley Water District from groundwater and Santa Ana River water, and it runs hard enough that scale shows up on valves, cartridges and water heaters.

Serving all of Highland

Further east, East Highlands Ranch and the Greenspot Road area are newer planned neighborhoods with more modern piping. Because Highland sits right at the foot of the mountains, a lot of yards have rocky or decomposed-granite soil and mature trees, both of which matter when we have to dig or run a camera down a sewer line.

  • streets near Boulder Avenue and Victoria Avenue
  • East Highlands Ranch
  • the area around Greenspot Road

  • homes near the San Manuel and Yaamava’ area

Working in Highland

Highland is a short trip from Rialto on the 210 east. We use the Base Line, Palm Avenue, Boulder Avenue and Greenspot Road exits, and SR-330 for homes toward the mountain end of town.

Older Highland homes near Palm Avenue and Base Line can have galvanized supply lines and clay sewer laterals from the original construction. In East Highlands Ranch, the homes are newer, but HOA rules can affect access, parking and work hours, which we plan around.

Because Highland sits at the base of the mountains, many lots have rocky or decomposed-granite soil. That matters for digging sewer repairs and can affect how quickly water drains in a yard, so we take it into account when we plan the work.

Before, during and after the repair

Before: we talk through the problem by phone and tell you honestly how soon we can be there. During: we explain what we find and get your OK on the price before starting. After: we test the repair with you and let you know if anything else is worth keeping an eye on.

Hydro Jetting FAQ for Highland

Is hydro jetting safe for old pipes?

For pipes in reasonable condition, yes. We inspect first. If the camera shows broken or badly deteriorated pipe, we recommend repair instead of jetting.

How is hydro jetting different from snaking?

Snaking opens a hole through the clog. Jetting cleans the whole pipe wall, removing the grease, scale and roots that cause clogs to return.

How long does hydro jetting take?

Most residential lines take a couple of hours including the camera inspection, depending on the length and condition of the line.

How often should a line be jetted?

It depends on use. Many homes never need it again once the cause is fixed. Busy commercial kitchens often jet on a regular schedule.

Do you serve all of Highland?

Yes. Highland is northeast of our Rialto shop on the 210, usually a quick trip, and we cover the older neighborhoods off Palm Avenue and Base Line, the area around Greenspot Road, homes near the San Manuel and Yaamava’ area and the rest of the city, 24 hours a day.
