Sewer Camera Inspection in Ontario, CA

A sewer camera shows exactly what is going on inside your drain line, whether that is roots, a crack, a belly or a blockage. We run camera inspections for Ontario homes, buyers and property owners. Ontario is a short drive west on the I-10 from our Rialto shop.

Drain Edge Rooter is owned and run by a licensed plumber, Isaiah Infante (C-36 #1078977). We are based in Rialto, we answer around the clock, and our 139 Google reviews come from neighbors across the Inland Empire. Phone: (909) 927-3194.

What sewer camera inspection covers

  • Camera inspection from an existing cleanout
  • Locating the depth and position of problem spots
  • Identifying pipe material, including Orangeburg
  • Checking for the pipe types we expect in Ontario’s mix of housing (older core homes near downtown, mid-century and 1970s-80s tracts, and brand-new Ontario Ranch homes)

When it is more than a quick fix

  • You are buying an older home
  • Soggy patches over the sewer line
  • Planning a remodel that adds bathrooms
  • Any of the above in a Ontario home that has not had its plumbing checked in years

Not sure if it can wait? Call (909) 927-3194 and we will tell you honestly.

Sewer Camera Inspection in Ontario: what we see locally

Ontario is really two cities in one when it comes to plumbing. North of the 60, around Euclid Avenue’s wide median and the older blocks near Holt Boulevard, many homes went up before or shortly after World War II. South of Riverside Drive, Ontario Ranch is still being built out, and those homes have modern plastic and PEX piping.

Older Ontario homes may have clay, cast-iron or even Orangeburg laterals, and the camera tells us which one before we suggest anything. Ontario’s water is a blend of local groundwater and imported supply, and like most of the Inland Empire it runs hard, so scale build-up on valves, heaters and fixtures is something we see often.

Ontario neighborhoods

Between those two, there are a lot of 1970s and 1980s tracts near Mountain Avenue, Vineyard Avenue and the Creekside area, where the original copper and drain lines are now decades old. When we pull up to an Ontario address, the age of the street usually tells us what we are likely to find before we open a single cleanout.

  • Downtown Ontario along Euclid Avenue
  • College Park and the neighborhoods north of the 10
  • streets off Holt Boulevard and Mission Boulevard
  • Creekside and the tracts near Mountain Avenue
  • Ontario Ranch, including the New Haven and Edenglen areas
  • homes near Ontario International Airport and Ontario Mills

Working in Ontario

Getting to Ontario is easy for us. From Rialto we take the 10 west, and from there Euclid Avenue, Grove Avenue, Vineyard Avenue and Archibald Avenue get us to most of the city quickly. Ontario Ranch, down past Riverside Drive, is a longer drive south, but it is still regular territory for us.

A lot of Ontario’s older homes near downtown have been remodeled more than once, so the plumbing in the walls may not match the plumbing at the fixtures. In the newer Ontario Ranch tracts, many homes are part of HOAs, and we work around community rules on parking, access and work hours.

Ontario also has a lot of rentals, duplexes and small commercial buildings along Holt Boulevard and Mission Boulevard. Property managers and landlords call us for tenant calls, and we keep them in the loop with what we found and what it cost.

Sewer Camera Inspection FAQ for Ontario

Will I know the cost before you start?

Yes. We tell you the price before any work begins.

Do I need a cleanout?

A cleanout is the easiest access. If there is none, we can often go through a toilet flange or roof vent, or recommend adding a cleanout.

Should I get one before buying a home?

For older homes, it is worth it. A sewer line problem is expensive and is not usually covered in a standard home inspection.

Are you available 24 hours?

Yes. Call (909) 927-3194 anytime.

Do you serve all of Ontario?

Yes. Ontario is a short drive west on the I-10 from our Rialto shop, and we cover Downtown Ontario along Euclid Avenue, Creekside and the tracts near Mountain Avenue, homes near Ontario International Airport and Ontario Mills and the rest of the city, 24 hours a day.
